Logistics Coordinator

Corey Nutrition Company is a family-owned manufacturer based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. We are known for producing high quality pet food and aquafeed and ship our products worldwide.

We currently have an opening for a full-time employee to join our finance team as an Logistics Coordinator. This position will be based out of Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Position Summary:

We are currently looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be part of a logistics team of three, whose primary purpose is coordinating and negotiating shipments, including daily cross-border shipments, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. The role will require strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaison with warehouses, sales team, transportation companies, customs and FDA

  • Communicate with warehouses to plan for outgoing/incoming shipments

  • Coordinate with production to ensure sufficient inventory levels

  • Obtain freight quotes for orders

  • Monitor carrier movement from shipper to receiver to ensure load is delivered on time and in the intended condition.

  • Follow up on service failures and take corrective measures

  • Prepare, review, audit and maintain all necessary shipping and carrier documents prior to load tender

  • Process customer invoices and credits, ensuring we have received all paperwork from all warehouses

  • Receive and process orders for aquafeed

  • Monitor all returns, ensuring necessary paperwork is completed

  • Reconcile month end inventories with external warehouses

  • Review and approve monthly invoices from warehouses

  • Respond to high volume of communications daily

  • Back up for Export Logistics, including preparing CFIA certificates

Competencies:

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and be self-organized

  • Ability to deal with multiple variables and time constraints

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Experience with Syspro ERP considered an asset

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years related experience in a comparable role

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management and/or Business is preferred
