We are currently looking for a Regulatory Compliance Administrator to work in our Quality Assurance Department. This position will be based in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Specialist, the primary purpose of this position is to ensure compliance with all relevant federal, national/international, provincial, industry, corporate and site-specific policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the facility’s subject matter expert in the area of interpreting the compliance and accreditation criteria based on organization, customer, or external party requirements

  • Source, research, and summarize complex legislation, regulations, and industry guidelines

  • Develop and implement policy and process to ensure compliance with Canadian, U.S. and other country's export and import laws and regulations

  • Provide timely, responsive and proactive advice on all compliance issues

  • Prepare export certificates for CFIA

  • Direct and control regulatory compliance procedures within organisation

  • Develop, initiate, maintain and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the compliance program

  • Assist with documentation for ISO and HACCP systems, as well as Internal and External audits

  • Maintain trademark and patent files to ensure renewals are completed on time. Also works with patent and trademark attorneys to register new patents and trademarks.

  • Assist with other duties as assigned or directed

Essential: Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with a proven ability to manage

  • multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Asset: Qualifications

  • Experience in a food environment and working on previous quality and safety

  • management programs is considered an asset.

  • Experience and/or working knowledge of Canada’s and other countries’ export and

  • import laws is an asset

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Arts (Business), Regulations/ or other relevant degree

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in compliance/quality assurance or other relevant

  • experience

  • Office and/or Production environment

  • Working at desk with documentation the majority of the time

We are currently looking for a term, with the potential to become a full time permanent employee, Small Pet Food Line Packaging Worker. This position will be based out of Fredericton, New Brunswick. The rate of pay is $15.00/hour.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the primary purpose of this position is to ensure that all outgoing product is correctly packaged according to specifications.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Weigh, seal, label, stack and wrap finished product.

  • Ensure that pallets are free of damage, neatly labeled and stacked.

  • Conduct quality checks on finished product and complete appropriate forms.

  • Maintain a safe & clean work area.

  • Operate all equipment applicable to the work area including but not limited to: Sealers, Scales, Hoist, wrapper, pallet jack, Sample machine, Inkjet Printer, conveyor belts, Label Printer and more…

  • Troubleshoot equipment when problems arise.

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications: Minimum

  • Work independently and quickly to meet changing priorities

  • Training in Forklift Operation

  • Fire extinguisher use

  • Safe lifting techniques

  • Packaging techniques

  • First Aid training

  • WHMIS

  • Health & Safety training

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • The ability to follow instructions / procedures.

  • Ability to perform relevant mathematical calculations

  • Good interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Shift Work.

  • Ability to work in very hot/very cold work environments.

  • Dusty environment.

  • Ability to lift up to 25kg repeatedly over a 12 hr. shift.

  • Ability to work overtime
