Corey Nutrition announced as a 2019 Export Awards finalist

New Brunswick’s highest-performing export companies will be honoured with special awards during a gala event in Saint John on June 13.

There will be two Exporter of the Year awards: one for a company with export sales of less than $5 million and another for a company with export sales of more than $5 million.

The remaining awards are presented in three categories:

  • Emerging Exporter of the Year

  • Global Diversification

  • Innovative Exporter of the Year

Kennebecasis Regional Police Force Receives Donation of Therapy Dog

The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force (KRPF) has a new addition to the force to assist with stressful incidents, thanks to the generous support of a local non-profit organization.

Several sponsors have offered generous support for Rosa, the new KRPF officer, providing dog food from Corey Nutrition, various supplies from Global Pet Foods, and kennel fencing provided by a Saint John company, to name a few key contributors.

Raised on a dairy farm in New Brunswick, Lee Corey grew up knowing the meaning of hard work, the importance of being on time and not letting others down. It instilled in him an industrious attitude and entrepreneurial drive. In 1982, after working as a marine biologist for the New Brunswick government, Lee’s entrepreneurial spirit mingled with his desire to bring safe, trusted nutrition to fish and family pets.

Lee Corey thought his family dog, a beautiful yellow Labrador named Penny, deserved high quality food. As a pet parent and grandparent, Corey knows that pets are considered part of the family for many people.

He began making pet food for Penny, and that was the spark for what would become Corey Nutrition. Its mission: deliver quality product on time and with good customer service.
